DIMENSIONAL LUMBER
Intentional, reliable, and friendly lumber sourcing for your furniture and product design.
Species
We do our best to keep our inventory stocked full of the common species found here in the northeast, such as walnut, white oak, red oak, maple, cherry, poplar, hickory, cedar, pine, and hemlock. We also stock less common species when we can find quality logs or green lumber, such as sassafras, ash, elm, flaming box elder, osage orange, etc. And while we don't provide any exotic lumber at the moment, it's in our future plans to offer a blend of imported and exotic woods for specialty building and design.

Sizing & Dimensions
Standard lengths for our dimensional lumber run 6', 8', and 10', with 8' length being our most common. We can cut and dry up to 16' long but anything beyond our standard sizing must be custom ordered ahead of time.
The standard thicknesses we keep stocked are 4/4 (1"), 6/4 (1.5"), and 8/4 (2"). We also provide 5/4 (1.25") and 10/4 (2.5") options as well, just not as often.
Board widths can obviously vary and range from 4" all the way up to 16". Common widths range from 6-10".
Grading & Moisture Content
A good majority of our provided lumber would qualify as Number 1 Common and Selects. Occasionally we'll stock a premium batch of FAS for select species for higher end fabrication. We'll also stock smaller amounts of lower Number 2 Common grade lumber for budget-focused projects. *For those that might not understand lumber grading, here is a great resource.
We only sell kiln-dried material here at our shop and we dry everything on-site in our iDry vacuum kiln. All dimensional lumber is dried between 6-8% moisture content, which is considered furniture grade, and then stored here in our climate controlled shop.

LIVE EDGE SLABS
Transform your space with more rustic and natural elements.
Species
Live edge slabs have been one of the most popular and trendy wood options over the last decade. We proudly have hundreds of slabs in our inventory here. We have plenty of the common species in stock at all times, such as black walnut, maple, cherry, white oak, red oak, poplar, etc. We also stock less common species when we can find quality logs or green lumber, such as ash, elm, flaming box elder, hickory, English walnut, etc. And while we don't provide any exotic slabs at the moment, it's in our future plans to offer a blend of imported and exotic woods for specialty building and design.
Sizing & Dimensions
Lengths for our live edge slabs can range from 4' long to 14' long. Our most poplar sizes are 8' and 10' long. We can cut and dry up to 16' long so if you need something specific, please contact us to custom order.
The standard thicknesses we keep stocked are 6/4 (1.5"), and 8/4 (2"). We also provide 10/4 (2.5") options from time to time, just not as often.
Slab widths can obviously vary and range from 4" all the way up to 30+". Common widths range from 12-20".
Grading & Moisture Content
Hardwood lumber grading is hard to apply to the live edge slab world so we do not personally grade our slabs. That's what makes them so unique and special though; the varying characteristics and "imperfections." Things like cracks, knots, voids, and holes, can sometimes add even more intrigue to a piece. We also have plenty of slabs that are clear and limited in imperfections so there's certainly something here for every design and creative vision.
We only sell kiln-dried material here at our shop and we dry everything on-site in our iDry vacuum kiln. All live edge slabs are dried between 6-10% moisture content and then stored here in our climate controlled shop. Our kiln process also kills unwanted bugs and bacteria for total peace of mind.
